Do you think the 'n-word' should be banned?

So many people say this word but it causes a lot of controversy. Black people use it to one another and even put it in songs but when a white person says it then it seems to be seen as 'offensive' even if they don't use it to insult someone but instead use it as a greeting like black people do. However this is really unfair that society seems to only allow certain people to say the 'n-word', so do you think it would be better if no one was allowed to say this word at all so there was no confusion or rules on who could say it?
