My boyfriend broke up with me because of his mother...?

His mom was taking everything away and wouldn't give it back to him unless he broke up with me. Well, he still wants to secretly be together but I don't know if i should. It hurts just to even think about him. We're ages 17. I've met her a few times and I was nothing but polite but she was standoffish to me. She won't even let him go to parties because she thinks I might be there. He says that she thinks he's too young should postpone "time wasters" like girls until after college and not high school hussies( how rude !). I don't handle controversy and drama really well and I don't know what to do. She won't let him call or email me anymore...He was my first boyfriend. I feel like I am a responsible teenager and I don't let my grades slip and I still have my own life ( I'm a cheerleader). Should I stay with him or just move on?
